Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Keeps manager informed of issues with patients, staff or physicians.
• Monitors quality control standards (immunization logs, waived testing, logs, etc).
• Resolves less complicated patient, staff, and physician issues.
• Reports to manager any associate non-compliance with policies.
• Provides staff training/onboard checklist.
• Prepares patients for examination and treatment.
• Prepares exam and treatment rooms with instruments.
• Maintains sterile technique and infection control in rooms and equipment.
• Prepares, maintains, and orders inventory supplies and equipment.
• Assists provider in minor surgeries or physicals.
• Assists with scheduling tests, treatments and referrals.
• Assists with scheduling patient appointments and informing patients of benefits.
• Maintains patient files and documentation per policy.
• Prepares and summarizes data for reports and records.
• Attends meetings and participates in committees as requested.
• Participates in professional development and maintains affiliations.
• Communicates in a professional, CHRISTUS-aligned manner.
• Follows CHRISTUS Health HIPAA guidelines.
• Performs other related work as required.
