Responsibilities

• Assist physician with exams, tests, procedures and office-based surgery.
• Prepare patients for examination and treatment, record chief complaints, vitals and allergies.
• Prepare exam/treatment rooms and maintain supplies and equipment.
• Administer medications and immunizations as ordered after competency.
• Document data in the patient record and communicate with care team.
• Handle insurance forms, scheduling, billing tasks and pre-authorizations.

Education

Accredited medical assisting program (TN preferred)

CMA/CCMA/NCMA or recognized CMA certification
