Job summary

Prisma Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform clinical, technical, and administrative tasks under the supervision of a physician or APP. The position involves preparing patients, recording vitals, and assisting with exams, procedures, and procedures in a high-volume clinic setting.

You will handle patient education, prepare exam rooms and manage charting and billing tasks as assigned, ensuring accuracy and quality of care.

Qualifications

• Education: Completion of medical assistant training program in South Carolina.
• Education: Completion of an accredited medical assistant program preferred in Tennessee.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical, technical, administrative and clerical duties under the direct supervision of the physician.
• Prepare patients for examination and treatment including obtaining chief complaints, meds, vitals, allergies.
• Assist physician with examinations, tests, procedures, and office-based surgery; apply splints and remove sutures when competent.
