Qualifikationen

• National Certification for Medical Assistants is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program with Diploma preferred; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Aufgaben

• Administer medications following the five rights (patient, medication, dose, route, time) and document.
• Perform venous blood draws and record results.
• Record vital signs and patient health history during intake; document responses.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers as requested.
• Provide health teaching and patient/caregiver education per the plan of care.
