Prior experience as a Medical Assistant working in a clinical capacity would be required. Experience in cardiology would be a plus.
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant I to join our healthcare team. The Certified Medical Assistant I will be responsible for providing clinical and business office assistance in the office and clinics of health care providers.
Part-Time Hours Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
***This position will require travel between the UCF Health East Orlando and Lake Nona Clinics***
**Minimum Qualifications:**
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Completion of a Medical Assistant program and certification as a CMA.
3. Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred.
**Responsibilities:**
1. Patient Care Adheres to infection control policies and standards.
2. Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
3. Explains treatment procedures to patients.
4. Collects and prepares laboratory specimens.
5. Prepare exam rooms and ensure cleanliness and stocking of supplies.
6. Schedule patient appointments and handle patient inquiries.
7. Maintain patient medical records in accordance with healthcare regulations.
8. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
**Skills/Abilities:**
1. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
2. Good interpersonal and public relations skills.
3. Attention to details
4. Basic computer skills and experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
5. Able to operate all related medical equipment.
