Job summary

Golden State Orthopedics & Spine is seeking a Full Time Certified Medical Assistant for our Oakland, CA team. You will maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and assist in procedures including drawing blood and pre-certification of medications.

Ideal candidates have 2 years MA experience and a CMA certification; high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. We offer a collaborative environment and comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2 years of Medical Assistant experience (Required)
• Certified Medical Assistant (Required)
• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Maintaining exam rooms
• Stocking supplies
• Disinfecting equipment and instruments
• Pre-certification of medications and assisting in procedure/treatment when appropriate
• Drawing Blood
• Verifying patient eligibility and coverage
• Scheduling surgeries, hospital procedures, and pre/post-op appointments
• Additional duties as assigned
