Job summary

Duly Health and Care in Oak Lawn/Orland Hills seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Orthopaedics team. You will greet patients, register, measure vital signs, and support physicians during exams and minor procedures.

The role requires MA education and active certification; CPR is required or willing to obtain it. Travel to other sites for coverage may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience is required.
• Active MA certification through AMT/NCCT/NHA/ARMA/AAMA is required by several specialties; CPR certification or willingness to become certified upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history.
• Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures.
• Assist with immunizations or injections as needed.
• Assist patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filing.
• Conduct onsite lab testing including EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests.
• Maintain clean, warm examination rooms and provide excellent customer service.

Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives.
