Job summary

Weiss Pediatric Care in Florida is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who loves working with children and families. The role centers on delivering high-quality pediatric care and immunization administration.

Responsibilities include obtaining patient history, recording vitals, administering vaccines, performing hearing and vision tests, educating parents, updating Florida Shots records and coordinating referrals. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Experience with babies and children is essential.
• CMA or LPN certification required.
• Familiarity with immunizations preferred.
• Proficient with electronic health records (EHR).

Responsibilities

• Obtain detailed patient history and document in the electronic medical record.
• Accurately draw up and administer vaccines for infants to young adults.
• Obtain and record vitals on each patient.
• Perform hearing and vision tests.
• Educate parents on immunizations, asthma, feeding and illness management.
• Review immunization records and well-visit status; update Florida Shots.
• Schedule specialists and complete referrals; order tests as instructed.
• Follow-up on referrals and labs to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have experience with babies and children and have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with administering immunizations is preferred.

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or LPN
• Experience in a Pediatric setting
• EHR proficiency

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Obtain detailed patient history and document in the electronic medical record
• Accurately draw up and administer vaccines for infants - young adults
• Obtain and record vitals on each patient
• Perform hearing and vision tests
• Educate parents on a variety of topics including immunizations, asthma, feeding, and symptom management for common pediatric illnesses
• Review patient records for immunizations and well visit status, and specific health issues
• Update patient immunization records in Florida Shots
• Schedule specialists' appointments and complete referrals
• Order tests as instructed by providers
• Follow-up on referrals, tests, and labs to ensure compliance.
• Administer fluoride treatments
• Provide nebulizer and other breathing treatments
• Complete school and sports forms

Job Type:

Full-time/40 hours per week

Starting Salary:

$22+ per hour
