Job summary

Compass Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for an on-call finance role. The MA will balance direct patient care with essential administrative coordination, including vitals, injections, referrals, and medication management in a collaborative care setting.

Preferred candidates have WA CMA, completed MA training (720 hours), and relevant certifications. On-site support with comprehensive benefits awaits the right candidate in the Everett area.

Qualifications

  • Current Washington State CMA credential.
  • Successful completion of AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT, or AMCA exam.
  • Completion of accredited medical assistant training program, registered apprenticeship, post-secondary training (720 hours), or equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience preferred; phlebotomy certification a plus.
  • Proficiency in intramuscular injections, with knowledge of medications and side effects.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and electronic health records.
  • Commitment to ethical practice, cultural sensitivity, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examinations, record vital signs, and enter documentation into the medical record.
  • Assist providers during appointments, including administering and monitoring medications.
  • Support medication adherence through face-to-face check-ins and long-acting injectable administration.
  • Coordinate psychiatric evaluation referrals and schedule patient appointments.
  • Manage prescription refills and maintain the security of medication storage.
  • Provide administrative support such as processing voicemails, maintaining accurate records, and preparing correspondence.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, training requirements, and safety protocols.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, supervision, and continuous learning.

About the Role

Who You'll Work With

You will collaborate closely with prescribers, nurses, and clinical teams across Compass Health to support client care. You will also be in regular contact with outside labs, pharmacies, and primary care providers, ensuring that clients' needs are fully coordinated and addressed.

What You Bring
  • Current Washington State Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential.
  • Successful completion of AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT, or AMCA exam.
