Job summary

UICOMP in Peoria, IL seeks a Credentialed/Certified Medical Assistant to support a multi-specialty clinic including women’s health and geriatrics. Responsibilities include patient triage, vital signs, and EHR data entry, with a focus on efficient scheduling and accurate documentation.

The role requires a high school diploma and an active Medical Assistant certification; phlebotomy and Epic EMR experience are preferred. Illinois residency is required within 180 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Current/valid medical assistant certification.
• Experience in a medical setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily clinic operations and scheduling.
• Record patient vitals and visit details in the EHR.
• Process referrals, authorizations, and maintain patient records.
• Support with inventory and supply management.
• Coordinate communication between departments and with patients.
