Job summary

Penn Medicine in Lancaster County seeks a Medical Assistant to provide clinical support across provider offices under supervision of a provider or licensed nurse. Travel to scheduled offices weekly is required to cover patient care across age groups.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, injections, medication prep, procedure support, point-of-care testing, and coordinated patient education, with a focus on excellent service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA/CMA) required.
• 1+ year Medical Assistant experience in a primary or specialty care physician’s office.
• H.S. Diploma/GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for visit using rooming standards.
• Administer injections as prescribed and document observations.
• Prepare and administer medications per provider and regulatory guidelines.
• Assist with procedures and minor surgeries and other exams.
• Perform point-of-care testing (hearing, flu, urine, strep).
• Maintain exam rooms and medical instruments after visits.
• Coordinate referrals and patient education with care teams.
• Support front-office tasks and patient experience initiatives.
