Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Florida is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (MAC Float) to support multiple outpatient units within the MAC. The role involves assisting with exams and procedures, managing patient flow, and rotating across designated clinics to ensure smooth operations.

The successful candidate will have a Medical Assistant training program completion, valid MA licensure (CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA or equivalent) to obtain within one year, and be eligible for BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Medical Assistant training program; or applicable Military Medical Training; or students actively enrolled in a BSN program with proof of enrollment at the beginning of every semester.
• Certification or Registration from CMA/ RMA/ NCMA/ CCMA/ NRCMA or current Moffitt MA must obtain certification within one year of transfer from grandfathered unit.

Responsibilities

• Assist with exams and procedures and manage patient flow.
• Rotate across units within the MAC to ensure quality patient care and staffing needs are met.
