A leading healthcare system in Pennsylvania is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform clerical and direct patient care duties. The role involves greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and assisting healthcare providers during examinations. Candidates must be certified and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
MA (Medical Assistant) is positioned within the workforce to gather, screen, communicate, and act based on delegation from a provider, registered nurse, or Licensed Practical Nurse as per scope of practice.
The MA performs a combination of clerical and direct patient care duties.
Clerical responsibilities include greeting patients, answering telephones, scheduling appointments, and updating patients' electronic medical records (EMR).
Clinical responsibilities include rooming patients, taking medical histories, recording vital signs, preparing exam rooms for procedures, explaining treatment procedures to patients, preparing patients for examinations, facilitating patient flow through the office, and assisting physicians, nurse practitioners, or physician assistants during examinations.
Must be a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
