Job summary

MultiCare Health System is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) to join the Physician/APP office team in the Tacoma area. The MA-C will work under licensed practitioners, performing clinical tasks and supporting front office operations to maintain smooth patient flow.

The role requires WA MA-C certification, current BLS, and at least one year of healthcare experience; a 0.80 FTE daytime schedule is noted with Monday–Friday shifts.

Qualifications

• Washington State MA-C certification required.
• Minimum of one year experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient flow in collaboration with the front office staff.
• Interview patients and obtain vital signs.
• Assist patients in preparing for exams or treatments; venipuncture.
• Administer medications in accordance with state regulations and documented competency.
• Relay instructions to patients and their families/caregivers.
• Send/receive patient medical records and facilitate referrals.
