Schedule: Full Time

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

Location: LaGrange, IL

The role you’ll contribute:

Assists with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider (Physician or Advanced Practice Provider).

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Assists with treatments ordered by the provider as supervised by the provider or registered nurse. Performs select clinical duties.
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination.
• Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
• Performs basic materials management functions, including ordering and stocking supplies. Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
• May document the provider's encounter with patients, listing diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, and prescriptions. Transcribes patient orders including laboratory tests, radiology tests, and medications.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Other accepted certifications include those from American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), National Healthcare Association (NHA), or American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA).
