Job summary

Articularis Healthcare Group, Inc. is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant - Infusion to support our Low Country Rheumatology practice. The role will mainly operate from the West Ashley office, with regular travel to Summerville and Mount Pleasant as needed.

The CMA-Infusion will support the infusion RN by obtaining vitals, starting IVs, administering injections under supervision, and aiding with supply and inventory management. Travel to multiple offices is required.

Qualifications

• Accredited CMA or RMA certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.
• Experience in a clinical setting and EMR navigation.
• Strong clinical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist infusion RN with vital signs before, during, and after infusions.
• Start and discontinue IVs under RN supervision.
• Administer IM/SQ injections under RN supervision.
• Manage supplies and drug inventory.
• Maintain patient safety and HIPAA compliance.

Articularis Healthcare Group (AHG) is currently seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant - Infusion for our Low Country Rheumatology practice. This position will work primarily in our West Ashley office, but will float to Summerville and Mount Pleasant as needed.

The Certified Medical Assistant - Infusion, will be responsible for assisting the infusion RN with obtaining and documenting initial and subsequent vital signs, starting and discontinuing IVs under supervision of RN, administering IM/SQ injections under supervision of RN, assisting with supply management, and assisting with drug inventory management. IV and injection skills are a requirement.

As a Certified Medical Assistant - Infusion, typical duties might look like:

• Responsible for greeting and preparing patients for the infusion appointment provider while maintaining a positive and caring attitude.
• Responsible for obtaining vital signs before, during and after infusions.
• Able to start and discontinue IV's.
• Responsible for patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights by observing
• HIPAA regulations.
• Obtains and accurately records patient information; vital signs, height, weight, allergies, current medications, and all medical history in the EMR.
• Responsible for updating charts and tracking paperwork to completion.
• Responsible for cleaning and preparing examination rooms, equipment, and tools per protocol.
• Accurately documents patient plan(s) of care, tests and examination results in the medical record as directed by the provider.
• Responsible for keeping infusion area stocked while maintaining cleanliness and organization and disposing of contaminated items according to protocol.
• Must be flexible and able to travel between 3 local offices, sometimes with little notice.
• Other duties as assigned by Practice Leader.

This job might be for you if possess the following:

• Successful completion of an Accredited National Certification Exam (i.e.: AAMA or AMT) for Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
• One (1) year of Medical Assistant experience.
• Experience in a clinical setting.
• Experience and ability to navigate an EMR.
• Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills.
• High School degree or equivalent.
