Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to provide patient care under supervision in an ambulatory setting in Zephyrhills, FL. The position follows a Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm schedule in the Primary Care department.

This role supports physicians and APPs with clinical tasks and relies on proper documentation in the EMR. Qualifications include a high school diploma and successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, along with BLS

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent is required.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school (or verifiable applicable work experience in a patient care setting) required.

Responsibilities

• Gathers patient data through interviews and observation.
• Assists patients and families with preparation for examination.
• Assists the physician or APP during examination and procedures.
• Documents treatments, procedures, and patient education according to policies.
• Enter medication, laboratory and diagnostic imaging orders into the EMR under provider direction.
