Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assisting program is strongly preferred but not required.
• Medical Assistant certification from an approved body is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum of one year of full-time Medical Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs rooming and intake including vital signs and data for visit.
• Collects patient and family data, including medical and social history.
• Reviews current medications, allergies, and preferred pharmacy.
• Assists the provider during treatments and procedures as directed.
• Collects specimens and performs phlebotomy.
• Administers medications under provider direction.
• Performs tests (e.g., EKG, eye exams) as directed.
• Maintains exam/procedure rooms and supplies.
