Overview

Texas Oncology is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at the Mansfield, TX location. The position level (1, 2, or Sr) will be based on the candidate's experience.

Role Responsibilities

Assist physicians and clinicians with patient care, promote efficient patient flow, perform clerical tasks, and support compliance with US Oncology standards.

  • Escort patients, record vital signs, allergies, medication changes.
  • Prepare exam/treatment rooms, assist with exams and procedures, administer injections as delegated.
  • Maintain disinfection protocols, answer patient calls, enter orders, and perform administrative duties.
Qualifications

Level 1 requires a high school diploma, 0-3 years experience, BCLS certification within 3 months, and preferred certification as a Medical Assistant.

Level 2 requires at least 3 years experience, phlebotomy skills, and preferred certification.

Level Sr requires at least 5 years experience, current CPR certification.

Physical and Work Environment

Must handle physical demands such as lifting up to 40 lbs, standing, walking, and manual dexterity. Exposure to healthcare environment conditions is possible.
