Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for day shifts in New Jersey. The role reports to the Outpatient Clinic Manager and supports a decentralized, patient-centered approach to care under direct RN supervision.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, completing an accredited CMA program and national certification (AMT/AAMA/NHA/NCCT) with BLS. This is an hourly, full-time position with 40 hours weekly in a hospital setting.

Job Description

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited medical assistant program with six months of CMA/RMA experience required. Must be certified through the American Medical Technologist (AMT) or American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or National Health career Association (NHA) or MedCA as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP), or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT). Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
