Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant II to support outpatient care. Under RN supervision, you will perform multi-skilled tasks, interview patients, take vital signs, and maintain patient records.

You’ll assist in examinations and prepare exam rooms under physician direction. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited MA program, and CMA/CCMA/NHA/NAHP/NCCT certification.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited medical assistant program with six months CMA/RMA experience required.
  • Must be certified through AMT or AAMA or NHA or MedCA as a CMA/CCMA/NAHP/NCCT, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Interviews patients and measures vital signs including pulse, temp, BP, height and weight; inputs data into medical records.
  • Assists in examination and treatment under physician direction.
  • Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations.

Additional Job Description High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited medical assistant program with six months of CMA/RMA experience required. Must be certified through the American Medical Technologist (AMT) or American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or National Health career Association (NHA) or MedCA as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP), or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
