Job summary

Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to provide patient care under the direction of physicians in an ambulatory Allergy clinic. The role requires travel to Brandon, Carrollwood, and Wesley Chapel, with Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm schedules.

You will gather patient data, assist in examinations, and process orders in the EMR while maintaining high standards of safety and patient education.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school (or at least one year of verifiable and applicable work experience as a CMA).
• Maintains current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification.
• Maintains current certification/registration from one of listed CMA/MA bodies.

Responsibilities

• Gathers patient data through interviews and observation.
• Assists patients and families with preparation for examination.
• Assists physician or APP during examination and procedures.
• Documents patient data, treatments, and education per policies.
• Schedules and coordinates specialty testing and physician consultations.
• Processes calls using professional clinical judgment.
• Enters orders into the EMR under provider direction.
• Maintains compliance with Orlando Health policies and infection control standards.
• Supports quality improvement and clinical outcome initiatives.
