Job summary

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join the Northwest General Surgery & GI team. You will room patients, record vitals, perform injections, venipuncture, urinalysis, and EKG testing, and prepare rooms for in-office procedures.

Must hold a CMA with active certification (AAMA/NCCT/NHA), have a high school diploma or equivalent, and possess BLS. Strong English communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification required.
• CMA with active certification (AAMA/NCCT/NHA).
• Aware of cleaning standards and aseptic technique.
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Willingness to participate in goal-setting and professional development.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Compliance with standard procedures.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and record vital signs.
• Administer injections and perform venipuncture.
• Perform urinalysis and EKG testing.
• Prepare and clean procedure rooms for in-office procedures.
• Dispose of biohazard and sharps waste per policy.
• Stock supplies and maintain clean work areas.
