Job summary

UW Medicine Primary Care at Outpatient Medical Center in Seattle is seeking a Medical Assistant - Certified (MA-C) for a full-time 40-hour week. You will room patients, take vital signs, perform injections, and support the care team in a fast-paced primary care setting.

Ideal candidates have a CA C AHEP/ABHES-accredited MA program and WA MA-C certification or eligibility within six months, plus a current BLS CPR card. This role offers growth in a community-focused facility near public transit.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program accredited by CAAHEP/ABHES or equivalent.
• WA Medical Assistant-Certified or eligible within 6 months of hire.
• Valid American Heart Association BLS CPR card.
• Equivalent education/experience may substitute for minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, take vital signs, and reconcile records.
• Perform injections.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms.
• Submit medication prior authorizations.
• Recognize symptoms and report to provider.
• Act as liaison between patient, family and providers.
• Assist provider with procedures and exams.
• Perform point of care testing and report abnormal lab values.
• Assist in transporting patients as required.
