Job summary

Pandya Medical Center in Alpharetta, GA is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant. You will take vital signs, prepare patients for exams, assist physicians, and perform essential lab tests in a busy medical practice.

Responsibilities include administering medications, handling EHR documentation, maintaining infection control, and supporting front office triage. A minimum of 2 years MA experience and MA program completion are required; CPR/BLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Minimum 2 years of MA experience in a medical practice
• CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Assist physicians during exams and minor procedures
• Administer medications and injections as directed
• Perform basic laboratory tests (urinalysis)
• Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory testing
• Perform EKGs and other diagnostic tests
• Maintain infection control and sterilize equipment
• Document patient information in EHR
• Keep exam rooms stocked with supplies and maintain instruments
• Maintain logs and checks (refrigerator temps, emergency meds, etc.)
• Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to Providers
