You must have a Medical Assistant Certification and BLS‑HCP; Education includes a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: None.
• Licensure, Certification: Medical Assistant Certification; provisional status possible after exam; BLS-HCP required.
• Other qualifications: effective communication, problem-solving, and computer skills for automated systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic clinical services and clerical support as directed by licensed staff.
• Collect patient data, perform initial assessments, and document observations.
• Prepare patients for provider evaluation and assist during exams and procedures.
• Maintain clean and stocked work areas and sterilize equipment as needed.
• Document patient information in the medical record accurately and timely.
• Assist with lab procedures and specimen collection as directed.
