Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for a full-time, fully onsite role in Texas. The position supports multiple clinic sites, handles intake, testing, and patient care, and emphasizes documentation and compliance.

The candidate must hold BLS and CMA or equivalent certifications, be proficient with medical terminology, and demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Travel as needed to fulfill staffing needs and support clinic operations
• Maintain compliance with policies and procedures
• Keep education requirements up to date through annual competencies and tests
• Prepare patients and equipment for treatment and document results in the system
• Provide whole care to patients during visits including intake, results, screenings, labs, and medication reconciliation
• Maintain confidentiality of personnel and patient information
• Assist patients, visitors and co-workers as needed to support team
• Conduct clinical intake including screenings, vital signs and medication reconciliation
• Assist with minor procedures and ensure accurate documentation
• Educate patients about tests, medications, and diet
• Monitor inventory and ensure equipment availability
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Description:

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This is a fully onsite position. The role will float between our Midlothian, Mansfield, and Alvarado clinic locations as needed. Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel between assigned clinic sites.

Primary Location:

550 Hawkins Run Road, Suite 100, Midlothian, TX.

• Travels as needed to fulfill staffing needs and support clinic operations.
• Stays up to date and familiar with all policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
• Maintains education requirements for the position and demonstrates competency through annual clinical competencies and written tests.
• Ensures efficient office flow by preparing patients and equipment for treatment, initiating testing, and documenting results in the practice’s designated system. Maintains OSHA regulatory enforcement and other office compliance, following safety processes and policies.
• Provides whole care to patients during office visits, including intake, test results, screenings, labs, medication administration, and closure of care gaps.
• Maintains confidentiality of employees' and patients' administrative and medical information.
• Supports staff teamwork by assisting patients, visitors, and co-workers when necessary.
• Performs clinical intake according to policy and procedures, including screenings, history taking, vital signs, and medication reconciliation.
• Assists with minor procedures associated with specialty and ensures accurate documentation at the time of service or results.
• Educates patients regarding tests, medications, and diet, providing clear and accurate instructions.
• Monitors and manages inventory, ensuring adequate supplies and functioning medical equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
