UF Health Jacksonville is looking for a dedicated Medical Assistant to support outpatient services. The role handles scheduling, patient check-in, and collecting demographic and financial information under physician supervision.

You will register patients, obtain billing signatures, and assist with basic clerical tasks while supporting laboratory test orders and coordinating with nurses and physicians to ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualificações

• Must have completed an approved Medical Assistant program.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience is preferred but not required (<1 year).

Responsabilidades

• Schedule patient appointments and collect demographic and financial information.
• Register patients and obtain signatures for billing/insurance.
• Order laboratory tests and other tests per physician directions.
• Greet patients and serve as liaison between patients, nurses, and physicians.
• Answer phones and assist with front-office tasks.
