Job summary

UnityPoint Health in Muscatine, IA is seeking a compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Pediatrics- Mulberry team. You will assist physicians during exams, room patients, document vital signs, and educate families.

Qualifications

• Valid and current CMA certification from an accredited program.
• Prior clinical or outpatient experience preferred.
• Familiarity with EPIC is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures.
• Room patients, record histories and vital signs, and document in EHR.
• Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments per licensure scope.
• Educate patients on health, medications, and follow-up care.
• Coordinate referrals and patient care follow-ups.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Valid and current certification for Medical Assisting
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – accredited program with certification (AAMA, NCCT, AMT, NHA, NCMA, NAHP, AAH, ARMA or NHCA)
  • Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred
  • Familiarity with EPIC a plus!
