Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) to provide direct patient care and clinical support in an outpatient setting under supervision.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, conducting EKGs, wound care, phlebotomy, assisting with procedures, documenting in EMR, and handling scheduling and billing inquiries to ensure clinic efficiency. This is a full-time role with occasional weekend work and required travel.

Qualifications

• CMA or RMA credential required, certified by NHA, AMT, AAMA, etc.
• Preferred completion of an accredited medical assistant program.
• Strong clinical skills, EMR proficiency, excellent communication, organization and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient information.
• Prepare examination rooms.
• Assist with procedures.
• Administer medications (excluding intravenous).
• Perform phlebotomy.
• Support laboratory testing.
• Manage clerical duties.

Role Overview

Provides direct patient care and clinical support in an outpatient setting, working under the supervision of providers to ensure patient safety and quality care. Responsibilities include preparing patients, collecting vital signs, performing technical procedures such as EKGs and wound dressings, assisting during minor surgical procedures, and supporting laboratory specimen collection and processing. Additionally, handles administrative tasks like scheduling, documentation, billing inquiries, and patient communication to facilitate efficient clinic operations.

Qualifications & Skills

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential required, certified by recognized associations such as NHA, AMT, AAMA, etc. Preferred candidates will have completed an accredited medical assistant program. Strong clinical skills, proficiency with electronic medical records, excellent communication, organization, and ability to work collaboratively are essential.
