Job Summary

We are seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant, Certified for our Fertility Center located in Morrisville, NC. The role involves being an integral member of the healthcare team, providing direct and indirect care to patients.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

1. Perform patient intake, including vital signs, visit information, and other clinical data.
2. Handle telephone messages, document encounters, follow clinic protocols, and inform providers.
3. Administer medications as ordered by providers or per protocols, following the six rights of medication administration.
4. Assist providers with procedures such as saline-infused sonograms, hysteroscopies, ultrasounds, and other bedside procedures.
5. Participate in performance improvement projects.
6. Assist in procedural areas, including setup, high-level disinfection, sterilization, and other tasks within scope of practice.
7. Perform venipuncture using correct techniques.
8. Float within the clinic to cover patient and provider needs, including potential weekend and holiday rotations.

Job Eligibility Requirements

1. Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program (CAAHEP or ABHES) is strongly preferred.
2. High school diploma or GED required.
3. Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA, or ARMA required.
4. BLS certification required.
