Job summary

Center for Primary Care is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join the clinical team in a full-time, non-exempt role at our Augusta, GA location. You will support providers during exams, manage patient flow, and document care activities in the electronic health record.

Requirements include a high school diploma, MA certification or LPN, and at least one year of medical office experience. Strong HIPAA adherence and patient communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Registered MA or Certified MA or current LPN required.
• Minimum of one year of Medical Office experience.
• Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Ability to type.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Office Manager, greet and schedule patients and maintain records.
• Assist providers with exams and procedures.
• Document provider orders accurately in the EMR system.
• Administer medications and injections as ordered by providers.
• Draw blood, label specimens, and process lab orders.
• Maintain infection control and patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.
• Ensure smooth patient flow and assist in other areas as needed.
