Paycom - ATS seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in a fast-paced ambulatory clinic in Benton, KY. You will assist with exams, document vitals, manage records, and coordinate patient flow while upholding safety and HIPAA standards.

The role requires CMA/RMA certification and BLS or timely completion, with prior experience in a physician office or ambulatory setting preferred. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Current CMA, RMA, or equivalent certification required.
• Current BLS certification required or obtained within designated timeframe.

Responsabilidades

• Room patients and prepare them for examination and treatment.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, height, weight, allergies, medications, and medical history.
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Laboratory specimen collection, point-of-care testing, injections, immunizations, and other clinical duties within scope of practice and certification.
• Provide patient education and reinforce provider instructions regarding medications, treatments, and follow-up care.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to the provider.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals as directed.
• Answer telephone calls, take messages, and communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and documentation.
• Assist with prior authorizations, prescription refill requests, and patient correspondence.
• Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information.
• Maintain exam rooms and treatment areas in a clean, stocked, and organized manner.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments according to established procedures.
• Monitor and restock medical supplies.
• Ensure equipment is functioning properly and report maintenance concerns.
• Follow infection prevention and control standards at all times.
• Greet patients courteously and provide compassionate, professional service.
• Promote a patient-centered environment that reflects the organization's mission and values.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information.
• Work collaboratively with providers, nurses, and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations.
