Avance Care in North Carolina is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our growing network of primary care locations. You will work closely with our providers to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

This full-time role offers weekday shifts with a rotating evening and weekend schedule, and benefits on the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Certifications CMA, CCMA, or RMA and at least one year of MA experience are required to join our

Qualifications

• CMA, CCMA, or RMA certification required.
• At least one year of clinical Medical Assistant experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam/treatment rooms.
• Triage patients as necessary.
• Administer vaccines and injections.
• Record patient data prior to the physician’s visit.
• Assist physicians with exams and a wide variety of procedures.
• Administer medications.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies.
• Maintain proper disinfection protocols.
• Complete prior authorizations for medications and diagnostic imaging.
• Phone in prescriptions and distribute proper medications as ordered by the provider.
