Description:

Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, a member of Trinity Health, Mid-Atlantic, is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Eastwick Family Medicine Team.

This full-time, day shift position involves supporting physicians and other Certified Medical Assistants in patient care and examinations, including exam preparation and lab work. The role also requires being the NextGen super user, supporting colleagues and physicians in the Electronic Health Record.

• Pulls charts prior to patient visits, places flow sheets and forms correctly, and documents in EMR consistently. Completes all provider-used forms and templates as directed.
• Collects and labels specimens per policy.
• Answers calls promptly, using professional language and proper etiquette.
• Handles information discreetly and confidentially, exercising good judgment.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by management or providers in a timely manner.

Requirements:

• Medical Assistant Certification from AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA, NHA, NAHP, or NPCE.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in a physician's office (preferred).
