Description:

Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, a member of Trinity Health, Mid-Atlantic, is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Eastwick Family Medicine Team.

This position is full-time, daytime hours.

The Certified Medical Assistant plays a key role in supporting physicians and fellow Certified Medical Assistants with patient care and examinations. Responsibilities include exam preparation, lab work, and serving as the NextGen super user for Electronic Health Record support.

• Pulls charts prior to patient visits, places flow sheets and forms in correct chart locations, and documents in EMR consistently. Completes all provider-used forms and templates as directed.
• Collects and labels specimens following policy.
• Answers calls promptly within three rings, using standard greetings, scripts, and professional language.
• Handles all messages confidentially, exercising discretion and good judgment in releasing information.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by management or providers in a professional and timely manner.

Requirements:

• Medical Assistant Certification from AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA, NHA, NAHP, or NPCE.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in a physician's office (preferred).
