Job summary

Duly Health and Care is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant for our Family Medicine team in Aurora, IL. You will greet patients, assist with registration, schedule visits, and support physicians during exams and minor procedures.

This role involves taking vital signs, performing on-site lab tests such as EKG and glucose, and managing charting in Epic. Some travel to nearby clinics may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant educational program or health sciences courses is required.
• Active Medical Assistant certification is preferred.
• CPR certification or willingness to become certified is required.
• Phlebotomy certification within 90 days of hire is preferred.
• 2 years of prior experience in a medical office is preferred.
• Experience using an electronic medical record (e.g. Epic) is preferred.
• Health sciences graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history.
• Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures.
• Certified medical assistants may assist with immunizations or injections.
• Assist patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filing.
• Conduct onsite lab testing to include: EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests.
• Maintains clean, warm and inviting examination rooms for patient visits.
• Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values.
• Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required.

Education

Position Highlights:

• Full-Time, 40 hours per week
• Clinic Hours: Monday, 8:00AM-7:00PM; Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM; Wednesday, 8:00AM-6:00PM; Rotating Saturday, 8:00AM-12:00PM
• Location: Aurora, IL
• Travel: As needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required
• Several of our clinical specialties including Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Family Practice, require active medical assistant certification through one of the following:
• CPR certification or willing to become certified upon hire required
• May require phlebotomy certification to be completed within 90 days of hire
• Prior experience working as an MA, CMA, CNA, EMT or 2 years of prior experience working in a medical office assisting with patient care
• Prior experience using an electronic medical record (e.g. Epic) preferred
• College graduates from a health sciences program interested in gaining patient care experience and in pursuing a career in healthcare are welcome to apply

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $21.43-23.63 for a Medical Assistant; Certified or Registered Medical Assistant the base pay range is $22.97-24.57 , with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
