Job summary

Florida ENT and Allergy is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for a full-time position at our Pasadena office. The ideal candidate is experienced with in-office procedures, medical terminology, multitask orientation, and able to handle a high volume of incoming patients.

Must be self-motivated and eager to learn all aspects of the ENT, Allergy and Audiology field. Responsibilities include taking vitals, scheduling tests and surgery, preparing exam rooms, and assisting physicians during

Qualifications

• One year of hands-on medical assistant experience.
• Current CMA certification.
• Comfortable assisting with surgical procedures.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Interpersonal and organizational abilities.
• Proficient with EMR and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Answering patient calls.
• Taking vitals.
• Obtaining authorizations.
• Scheduling diagnostic tests and surgery.
• Preparing exam rooms.
• Assisting the physician in procedures and ensuring proper scope of practice.
• Calling in prescriptions.
• Cleaning and sterilizing instruments per CDC/ENTAAF guidelines.
• Briefing each patient before the physician enters the exam room.
