Job summary

Florida ENT & Allergy, a division of ENT and Allergy Associates of Florida, is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for a full-time position at our Riverview office. This role involves in-office procedures, medical terminology, multitasking, and handling a high volume of patients.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of CMA experience, certification, and comfort with surgical support. EMR proficiency and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum one-year hands-on CMA experience.
• Current CMA certification.
• Comfortable assisting with surgical procedures.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answering patient calls.
• Taking vitals.
• Obtaining authorizations.
• Scheduling diagnostic tests and surgery.
• Preparing exam rooms.
• Assisting the physician in exam rooms for procedures (wax removal, biopsies, surgeries).
• Calling in prescriptions.
• Cleaning and sterilizing instruments per CDC and ENTAAF guidelines.
• Provide briefing of each patient prior to physician entering the exam room.
