Job summary

Peninsula Pain Clinic, serving the Olympic and Kitsap Peninsula, seeks a Medical Assistant Certified to float between Silverdale and Gig Harbor locations. Responsibilities include assisting providers, taking vitals, and maintaining EMR records in a fast-paced clinic.

The role offers a competitive hourly pay and a sign-on bonus, with a 401(k) plan and health/dental/vision coverage. Schedule is Mon-Thu and Fri partial day, no weekends.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in the medical field preferred.
• Must be able to travel between Silverdale and Gig Harbor offices.
• Proficient in EMR systems and general computer use.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organized and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Support patient care with a provider and assist with procedures.
• Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, documenting medical history, and reviewing medications.
• Assist providers during exams and minor procedures.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EMR system.
• Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and route messages appropriately.
• Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits.
• Process referrals, prior authorizations, and prescription refill requests.
