Job summary

Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support the Dermatology team in Tampa, FL. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with patient care under physician/APP supervision, including scribing and assisting during exams.

Requirements include high school diploma, MA training, and current BLS certification; a variety of national MA certifications are accepted. This role emphasizes compassionate patient interaction and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school (or verifiable applicable work experience in a patient care setting) required

Responsibilities

• Gathers patient data through interviews and observation.
• Assist patients and families with preparation for examination.
• Assists the physician or APP during examination and procedures.
• Documents, treatments, procedures, and patient education according to Orlando Health and department specific policies.
• Enter medication, laboratory and diagnostic imaging orders into the electronic medical system under the direction of a provider
