Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant in West Long Branch, NJ to perform routine clinical and clerical tasks under the direction of a physician or health practitioner.

The role includes rooming patients, recording vitals, administering injections, and documenting information in the electronic medical record; day shifts, 40 hours per week, with competitive hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS Certification approved by AHA.
• Completion of formal medical assistant training program (NHA, NCCT, AMT, AAMA, NCMA, AMCA, AECA, or NAHP).
• At least six months of relevant experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients, verifies information and records vitals.
• Assists physicians with examinations and procedures.
• Administers injections and medications as directed.
• Performs routine clinical tasks and minor procedures.
• Clerical duties: scheduling, calls, insurance verification, and charting.
