Job summary

AdventHealth Hendersonville is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support clinic operations. You will perform clinical intake, screenings and documentation, schedule tests, and assist with minor procedures.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of health care field and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of chronic disease management.
• Knowledge of and ability to utilize internal and external resources.
• Expertise in patient advocacy and navigating complex systems.
• Ability to function in stressful, fast-paced environments and apply stress management techniques.
• Ability to work independently within the scope of certification.
• Ability to exercise sound judgement and professional demeanor.
• Proficient reading, writing and speaking English; computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical intake including screenings, vital signs and medication reconciliation.
• Provide patient care during office visits and document results.
• Assist with minor procedures and ensure accurate documentation.
• Monitor inventory and maintain equipment; comply with safety policies.
• Support clinic operations and maintain patient flow.
