Job summary

You will provide basic patient care under RN guidance, assist with meals, specimen collection, and transport, and help maintain room readiness and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• PA Nurse Aide Registry (CNA) OR completed a minimum of one semester of clinical rotations in an accredited nursing program OR prior relevant work experience required.
• 1 year of relevant experience and/or EMT certification may substitute for required certification.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct and indirect patient care activities under RN instructions and physician orders.
• Obtains supplies to ensure rooms are ready for admission and prepared for discharge.
• Assists with feeding, dysphasia precautions, and tracking intake and output.
• Collects specimens (urine, clean catch, Foley, stool) as directed.
• Assists with application of heat/cold packs and basic orthopedic devices.
• Participates in hourly rounding to enhance patient safety and comfort.
