Job summary

The Certified Medical Assistant is a key component of our team that works closely with the primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care to our community, ensuring services are provided within the Medical Assisting scope and state guidelines.

The Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for reviewing and updating health records, measuring vital signs, and preparing treatment rooms for upcoming examinations.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED.
• Active medical assisting certification required.
• 1 year medical assistant experience preferred.
• 2 years clerical experience in a physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service by greeting patients and the community.
• Prepares and reviews patient charts by verifying diagnostics and other medical records.
• Measures vital signs including pulse, respiration, BP, weight, and height.
• Performs clerical duties: inventory, stock, referrals, and phone coverage.
• Must be able to troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.
