Join Our Team at Williamsburg Clinic

Come work in the heart of the Historic Triangle! Our Williamsburg Clinic is a Multispecialty Clinic housing 14 specialties including Hepatology, Thoracic Surgery, Breast Surgery Oncology, Cardiology, and more. We serve adolescent to geriatric patients, with pediatric providers in Family Medicine, Orthopedics, and Plastic Surgery. Our onsite diagnostic testing and imaging services complement our comprehensive care.

Our clinical team, including RNs, LPNs, Athletic Trainers, CMAs, and a Sonographer, collaborates to enhance patient outcomes and experiences. We have a partnership with William & Mary, providing services especially in Athletics. Clinic hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30 am-5 pm, with flexible scheduling. We seek a motivated individual eager to develop their skills with a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment.

Position Overview

The Certified Medical Assistant provides direct, age-specific care under the physician's direction, based on medical orders and care plans.

Requirements for Hire

• Current Medical Assistant Certification from a recognized national association (e.g., AAMA, AMT, NHA, ARMA).
• AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent.

Experience

• 1 year of medical assistant experience within the last 3 years if not a graduate of a medical assistant program.
• No experience required if a graduate of a medical assistant program.
• Proficiency with personal computers and software applications (Microsoft Office, email).
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience

• 2-3 years as a Certified Medical Assistant.
• Experience in an academic healthcare setting.

Educational Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting training program (preferred).

Additional Notes

• Works all shifts, including weekends and holidays, with schedules coordinated with the Nurse/Practice Manager.
• Physical activities include lifting 20-50 lbs, standing, sitting, bending, walking, climbing, and reaching.
• Must handle a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and adapt to change.
