Job summary

Tanner Health's West Georgia Urology is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join the Day shift. You will render clinical care under physician supervision and support daily office operations.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, and coordination with staff to ensure quality patient care. Travel to Tanner Medical Group locations is required; BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Three months of related experience.
• Certifications CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), RMA (AMT), NCMA (NCCT), or CMAC (AMCA) accepted.
• Must be able to deal tactfully with patients, family, staff, and physicians.
• BLS within 90 days.
• Requires travel to all Tanner Medical Group Locations.

Responsible for rendering clinical care within the medical practice in support of and as directed by the physician. Will also have general responsibilities to assist in the day to day operation of this office to ensure quality patient care. Clinical care will include patient assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Qualifications

• Will accept the following certifications CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), RMA (AMT), NCMA (NCCT), or CMAC (AMCA).
• Must be capable of dealing tactfully and effectively with patients, family members, other employees, and physicians.
• Must possess the cognitive ability to understand patient's medical records, physician's orders, and medical orders to be communicated to patient, hospital, and/or other physicians.
• Must possess the sense of discipline to work following accepted clinical standards.
• Prior experience in performing x-rays and EKG preferred.
• NOTE: BLS within 90 days
• Requires travel to all Tanner Medical Group Locations.
