At Stony Point ENT Clinic, we care for all age groups, newborns to geriatrics, and treat patients for any and all issues related to ears, nose, and throat, including hearing issues, sinus issues, voice, and swallowing problems. We are a procedural clinic providing sinus and tracheal endoscopy as well as multiple procedures related to ears. Since our clinic also cares for a diverse age group, our team members must also have flexible communication techniques.
Our clinic hours are Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm, and our staff hours vary. Our team members enjoy free onsite parking at our Stony Point campus.
The Certified Medical Assistant provides direct, age-specific care to a patient or group of patients based on medical orders and the plan of care under the direction of the physician.
Current Medical Assistant Certification through a recognized national professional association such as the American Association of Medical Assistants, the American Medical Technologists, The National Association of Healthcare Professions, the American Registry of Medical Assistants, or the National Healthcare Association.
Functions under the direction of a licensed independent practitioner, manager, and/or RN in providing patient care, emotional support, and problem-solving; all in accordance with hospital, nursing, and unit policy/procedure. Requires prior approval or guidance from a supervisor for time/schedule changes, legal issues, directed care which deviates from standard, and identifying educational resources to meet developmental needs. Job duties may include the handling, transportation, access to, and/or contact with medications and related supplies.
Certified Medical Assistants work all three shifts, weekends, and holidays. Individual shift rotation and schedules will be established with your specific Nurse Manager/Practice Manager. Schedules, including requirements of shift rotations and hours of work, may be adjusted as necessary to meet clinic requirements and/or as needed.
