Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or extensive work experience.
• Graduate from medical assistant program or training recognized for certification.
• Willingness to work in a clinical setting with patient care duties.

Responsibilities

• Assists with treatments ordered by provider under supervision and performs select clinical duties.
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on charts; prepares exam rooms.
• Performs basic clerical duties: answering phones, scheduling patients, filing.
• Orders and stocks supplies; maintains a clean, orderly environment.
• Documents encounters, follows up with orders, and transcribes tests and meds as directed.
• Works with vigilance to ensure safety and quality patient care.
