Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency, LLC is seeking an Outpatient Certified Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care, clinical support and administrative duties in a healthcare setting.

The role includes preparing patients, taking vital signs, assisting with exams, performing EKGs and wound care, phlebotomy, EMR documentation, scheduling, billing follow-up, patient education and inventory management. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CMA/RMA certification mandatory.
• Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program preferred.
• Strong organization and communication skills; infection control standards maintained.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and collect vital signs.
• Assist with examinations and procedures, perform EKGs and wound dressings.
• Perform phlebotomy and support provider needs.
• Document in EMR, manage scheduling and billing follow-up; patient education.
• Maintain inventory and participate in quality improvement; assist with orientation and communication between patients and providers.

Job description

Role: Outpatient Certified Medical Assistant responsible for providing direct patient care, clinical support, and administrative duties in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities include: Preparing patients, collecting vital signs, assisting with examinations and procedures, performing EKGs, wound dressings, phlebotomy, and supporting provider needs. Also involves documentation in electronic medical records, scheduling, billing follow-up, patient education, and inventory management. Ensures a safe, clean environment following infection control protocols and participates in quality improvement. May assist with staff orientation and facilitate communication between patients and providers.

Qualifications and Skills: High school diploma or GED required; graduation from an accredited medical assistant program preferred. Certification as a CMA or RMA from recognized associations (NHA, AMT, AAMA, etc.) is mandatory. Must demonstrate competency in clinical skills, maintain infection control standards, and possess strong organizational and communication abilities.
